Polarized Sunglasses

Polarized sunglasses filter out light that is reflected from a flat surface such as a car bonnet or water. Reflected light becomes horizontally polarized. This light, which causes glare, is filtered out by the vertically aligned polarizing filters in the lens and almost completely eliminates glare.
